So yeah. I went ice racing this past weekend. It was AWESOME. Ice racing. On a frozen lake. RACING ON ICE. Because #RACECAR! This was hands down some of the most fun I have EVER had in a car. You are more or less sideways the entire time, and it’s absolutely hilarious. There’s no MAJOR risk to the car if you spin out, but it is possible to tear your bumper off if you spin into the snow, so I was a little hesitant to go completely wild. Maybe next time there won’t have been as much recent snow and it’ll just be an open lake (there was quite a lot of snow, and they had to plow a path through it to make the “track.” Check out the photos!

The video here is one of my slowest laps, but also one of the most sideways, so it made for a better video, lol. It starts off pretty slowly because the starting “chute” eventually was turned into a very slick, glazed ice surface from all the cars lining up, so there isn’t much grip until you get out onto the track. You also get to see some guy who wasn’t paying any attention pull onto the track in front of me just as I’m flying towards the finish line. Blah!

The photos in the gallery below were taken by my friend of, RP Photography. Thanks for the photos, man!
